Rachel is a licensed naturopathic doctor and birth doula. She has attended over 300 births both in home and hospital settings since 2002. She is one of the most experienced naturopathic birth doulas in Canada and an expert in the field of natural birth, having trained directly with midwives. She is the co-owner of Dupont Naturopathic Family Centre and West End Naturopathic Doulas, a service dedicated to providing the best labour support to pregnant families.
Allison Martineau, Nutritionist and Researcher
Allison Martineau has a Masters degree in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University and has over 10 years experience working in health and nutrition. She has a passion for sharing her evidence-based nutritional strategies with expectant and new families to make cooking and eating for health during the preconception, pregnancy and postpartum periods simple and convenient. Allison runs a nutrition practice called Sweetpea Nutrition and is the nutritionist at West End Mamas. She lives in Toronto with her husband and three young sons.
Chana Ross, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Chana is a passionate women’s health advocate. She is the owner and pelvic physiotherapist at Vital Physiotherapy & Wellness, a women’s health and pelvic health physiotherapy clinic in mid-town Toronto. Her interest in women’s health developed during her pregnancies with her four beautiful children, Rebecca, 10; Maya, 8; Isaac, 4; and Mollie, who was born in August of 2018.
Attie Sandink, RN, IBCLC
Attie Sandink, a wife, a mother of four sons, a registered nurse, an International Certified lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a former labour and delivery nurse, childbirth educator, breastfeeding educator and trainer, friend and owner of Birth & Baby Needs in Burlington, Ontario. Her goals are to meet individual client needs without pressure. By using current research, always keeping in mind the normal instinctual behaviours of babies, she helps to empower new parents and professionals by giving many educational seminars and classes.
